As promised last week I checked out some of the latest hoverboats available in auction. Droopy has two new boats, the Mach 8 Racing Hoverboat and the X-Racing hoverboat. Both are based on the same model and they closely resembe the racing car made famous by Speed Racer. The X-Racer is yellow and black, the colors of Racer X in the cartoon series. It’s priced at 29,150T and the auction number is 5151751. 

The Mach 8 Racing Hoverboat is white and it’s also priced at 29,150T. The auction number is 5151749.

 

Another recent addition to the hoverboat competition is the Tiki Trek Animated Shuttleboat by Virtual Vikki. As the description says, it’s full of blinking lights and displays as well as a rotating radar dish. It’s priced at 29,000T and the auction number is 5126038.

 

I also promised we’d be back to discuss more buggies. This week I did a comparison of designer auctions of buggies priced at 50k and above. I didn’t include any buggies that are being resold. Collectable buggies may be the subject of a future column. This week I wanted to see what was out there from the designers. Since ZMW had several in that price range, I only included one. 

First, we have Artzys Pog Mo Thoin Exclusive. It’s limited to 10 according to the designer, Artzy Fartzy and is priced at 50,500T. The auction number is: 5114790.

 

Next we have the DMW Z4. At 100,000T this is the top end of our price range. Limited to 11 units ever to be made the designer is Mick Danger. The auction number at the time of review was 5090536. The auction as of Saturday was scheduled to end it 2 days, so you may need to do a search to find it.

 

The next buggy in alphabetical order is the Steel Cast 2 Limited Edition by Cyrene of DC Creations. Priced at 50,000T this buggy is limited to 7 ever to be produced, 5 to be auctioned with the owners of DC Creations hanging on to 2 for themselves. The auction number is 5138155.

 

Our last buggy is the ZMW Rollz Roice Continental. There are currently 2 models of the Rollz in auction. This was the first of them. Priced at 50,000T it’s limited to 11 ever to be produced. At the time of this writing there was only 1 left. The auction number is 5163111.

Next week as we get closer and closer to Christmas, I’ll revisit what’s available for the holiday season. As always, since I have no idea what creative genius designers will come with before then, who knows what else we’ll be looking at?
