by ZachC This past week saw the introduction of the new Nexus PX50 by Nex3d. He had mentioned to several people that he was working on a pickup truck based hoverboat, but I don’t think any of us expected this! The only word I can think of to describe it is “awesome”. The detail is meticulous, the shine is perfect, the design concept overwhelming. I’d say it left me speechless, but anyone who knows me knows that’s impossible. The PX50 comes in two styles. One with right hand drive using a British license plate on the rear, and a left hand drive model with a Florida plate. Hmmm just a thought… maybe he’ll do another color with a Washington State license plate… or not. The PX50 was introduced with an initial price of 24,000t. After the first three days in auction it goes to 28,000t.
The next vehicle I want to review is the Sojka – M.A.R. Patrol: Yellow hoverbike. Sojka hoverbikes are well detailed with innovative designs. This one is no exception. It was limited to 20 copies and listed at 33,000t. I just checked and I’m sorry to say it’s sold out, but I expect you’ll see some resales soon. If you’re interested in getting ahold of items by Sojka I’d strongly suggest joining his group: Sojka Industries. He sends out notices when new things are available which makes getting them much more likely. You can sign up for it here: http://webapps.prod.there.com/clubs/clubs?id=561706656&op=home
Another new hoverbike is the The Red Beer'd submitted by Julia_The_Pirate. This bike, like the black version, is a real collaboration for the benefit of Pirates Keep. The model is by 1Book, the mapping was done by Carcus, and the paint by ZachC. It’s priced at 20,000t and is a great bike for cruising in There.
Moving on to buggies, I saw the DL-T.Racer by x_Dragonlady_x and was impressed with its innovative design. This designer has done a few buggies before, but for some reason this one just reached out to me. Maybe it’s the red and black color scheme; that IS one of my favorite color combinations, or maybe it’s the interesting shine. It could be the rims; I’m not sure, but everything about the buggy says this is a new designer committed to getting it right. The DL-T.Racer is priced at 17,000t. I hope she sells a lot of them.
Just a note, all the images for today’s column were taken in the Aurora Gulch neighborhood. If you’d like to see your hood used as the backdrop for a column, please send me an email. I won’t promise anything, but I’m always looking for interesting backgrounds for the vehicles I bring to you.
